9. MALTA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOTS
This private full-day guided tour of Malta, conducted by an private tour guide is for groups of varying sizes (up to 500 people).
Discover the most interesting places in Malta, including the massive “Rotunda” cathedral in Mosta.
Our guide will pick you up directly from the hotel.
We will start the day with a private transfer to Valletta. In the capital of the Maltese Islands we will see such historic structures the new Parliament of the Republic of Malta and the ruins of the Royal Opera, heavily bombed during World War II.
In our sightseeing programme we also visit the Upper Barrakka Gardens – former recreational areas of the Order of the Knights of St. John and the Palace of the Grand Masters – currently the Presidential Palace.
The next stop will be Birgu, “The Victorious City”, which from 1530 was the seat of the Order of St. John. From Birgu we will go to the idyllically beautiful Blue Grotto and take advantage of the viewpoint.
Our guide will also take you to Mdina the “Silent City”, with its famous baroque architecture, highlighted with elements from the Arabic occupation.
In the city we will see the still inhabited residences of the oldest Maltese families, dating as far back as even the 13th century!
Fans of the “Game of Thrones” television series will recognize frames and locations, that did indeed serve as the setting for some of the series. Mdina was the first capital of the Maltese Islands from which.
Then we will go to Mosta to marvel at the famous Rotunda – The Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, crowned with an immense dome, the 3rd largest in Europe and the 9th largest in the world.
At the end of the trip we will go to the gorgeous sandy beaches of Golden Bay and Għajn Tuffieħa. At the vantage point between the Maltese ‘golden beaches’, we will finish our private tour of Malta.
We will then return you to your accommodation.
