6. ‘GAME OF THRONES’ TOUR
A half-day tour of Malta with a local guide. We will pick you up from the hotel and go to Valletta by private transfer.
On our way, you’ll see the coast of Sliema with Fort Manoel. In Valletta, you’ll hear from our guide about the biggest challenges film crews working in Malta and Gozo face. From the capital of Malta, we will take the scenic route along the city walls to San Anton Palace and Gardens – the official residence of the President of Malta. Along the way, you’ll be able to admire Fort Ricasoli – ‘Gate of the Gods’ and Fort St. Angelo – the ‘Red Fortress’ from the series.
The next point of our trip around Malta will be Mdina, the first capital of the island. The walls and buildings of the Maltese ‘Silent City’ appeared not only in ‘Game of Thrones’ but also in films such as ‘Gladiator’, ‘The Count of Monte Christo’ or ‘Da Vinci Code’. Only 260 people live in this quiet town!
At the end of our half-day guided tour, we will visit the Dominican Convent in Rabat – the place of a memorable meeting of Cersei Lannister and Ned Stark in the first season of the series.
After the tour, we will take you back to your accommodation.
